Co-Owner and Moov Member

I’ve lived all over the country. I originally come from California but consider myself an Iowan at heart.

I didn’t play sports in high school. I was never athletic. In my mid 20’s I did what so many others did and became a gym rat. I did the typical 3X10 sets, trying to hit every muscle group from each angle.

After I moved to Boulder in the 90’s, I started taking a fitness class that focused on boxing, but what I really learned was the power that classes have to push you beyond your predetermined notions about your limits. With the proper coaching and group energy, that I could do so much more than I thought I could.

Fast forward to several years later when I walked into Moov, looking for a group setting and some coaching. I did not consider myself a CrossFitter. Three years later, I am still not good at most of the traditional CrossFit movements. I am still learning, I am still often the last person finishing the workout but I became an owner of Moov because I believe in the power of the combination of exercise and community. That combination is unbeatable and I am a much better athlete and happier person because of it.
